Duality of Monsters

Duality of Monsters is a virtual world built within Unreal Engine 5.4, which aims to combine the worlds of 3d and 2d pixel art to enhance the overall depiction of the story. As evidenced by the title, the plot revolves around identifying the “real monsters” among us, leading to the questions about morality. By combining the use of the unreal sequencer and blueprint system, a trailer to tease the adventure and a short walkthrough of the world were developed, and can be viewed here.

Seeds of Chaos

Seeds of Chaos is an interactive narrative that explores how to combat stress in a fantastical setting. You play as Sprig, a young member of the Arbregne, who is in charge of aiding humans in difficult decisions, and finds their life upended by unforeseen struggles. The game features 8 possible endings, with different conflicts and possibilities lying around each corner. The game was built in Twine and had a specific focus on writing, with over 45 minutes of gameplay across all routes.

Fate’s Hand

In this platformer programmed within Unity, you play as a magician who has performed the wrong tricks, leading to cards coming to life! Teleport between the front and back of the level to explore, collect missing cards, and reclaim the deck. All character sprite animations can be found in the 2D artwork section of this portfolio, as certain pieces were cut in order to make snappier movement.
